The digital economy bill which has lately became an act , is the governments trying to enforce the copyright protection in the music industry against infringement.Song are illegally downloaded through such websites as WWW.piratebay.com , the digital economy bill is a threat that if a set amount of ongs are illegally downloaded you will be tracked and if it exceeds a certain amount your internet will be slowed down drastically to prevent the user from even attempting , if it continues the bill would let the operator eg virgin/talk talk shut down there internet for that address
This bill has negatives as the government only trace the servers and not the computers therefore somebody pinching their neighbors internet can download illegally and have no consequences.
